The Role of Trusses in Enembodied Carbon
When you have more processing that goes into a product, it has higher embodied carbon. Trusses will allow you to accomplish spans that might not be possible with the wood as a material. Thermal bridging and effective detailing is something that is missed on a lot of projects. A lot of those penetrations through an exterior wall can bring a lot of heat into the building.
