The Case of Stephen Roy Carr

Stephen Roy Carr was sentenced to life in prison for the shooting death of Claudian Rebecca. He claimed that he had been so enraged by the sight of two women making love that he simply lost his mind and shot them dead. The victim, Claudia Brenner, has since become an activist against anti-gay violence. She is a vocal advocate of harsher sentences for those convicted of hate crimes against the LGBT community.
