I like to teach principles before techniques. A lot of times we think they are technical fixes, and it's a physical problem. Or is it just like an rness? So what i've found is that athletes are kind of thinking of the skills as independent expressions, rather than as having intention towards something. And once people start to internalize the principles of flow, the refinements can often be fairly obvious because they are contextualized. I actually first came across the idea of the eye method through a thornton on a system of mma training.
