"When you're living in government assisted apartments, like I said, they're not clean or they're not the cleanest. The landlord just keep it whatever dirty," he says. "I remember my eyes would be all bloodshot and I would have pink eye and my mom would try to figure out how to fix pink eye using Armenian remedies because we weren't about to go and buy anything from the drug store."
