SaaS Companies - Customer Success?

Customer success is normally used to refer to the team that's responsible for onboarding new customers. They hand them off to help their school customer service once they're onboarded. I see it in SaaS companies as well, where both existing account base and renewal revenue are turned over to operations teams. Operations should be held accountable for revenue because of the seven million dollars we're planning to book next year - not sales department.
