The Importance of Seasonality in Business

When I was in McKinsey, people used to call it the through cycle view. The reason why that guy landed up with whatever in triple digit crores after five years is because every month he was better than his previous month. Every single month for the company was actually better than the previous month for a period of three and a half years. That's incredible. So my belief fundamentally is that compounding comes from the fact that you make the period shorter so you have more periods to compound over. It should be hard to do. Otherwise, what's the point? At the end of it, forget founder, I think it's very difficult to do as individuals as well.
