The Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022
President Biden signed into law in December of 2022, what is called the modernization of cosmetics regulation act of 2022. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is now tasked with creating regulations that will implement the law. There is a deadline of December 31, 2023, when the regulations are to be enforced. A guideline does not have the same legal impact as a law or a regulation.
