The Shift in Political Ideologies and the Co-opting of Leftist Messages

This chapter examines the change in political ideologies regarding big pharma and intellectual property rights on AIDS medication, and how the left's message has been co-opted by the far right. It also highlights the activism from the global south, such as the treatment action coalition in South Africa, that fought for generic drugs to save lives.
