The State Pension Age of 66 Is Going to Ride to 67 Between 24 and 2046
DWP Minister Melstride says that eventually we'll have to grasp the nettle of raising the state pension age to 68. Over half a million people still out of the workforce after Covid. The conservators have prospered with a pension, a client vote for as long as I've been paying attention. But are they going to be able to protect that vote as times get tighter? What will it mean if they can't? Is Melstride right? Or does this smell a bit of nasty jobs that the government after us will have to do?
