The Problem With Science and Faith
In the 17th century, people look for ways of understanding God that aren't contestable theological sources. Science or natural philosophy was nurtured in the 17th and 18th century. The problem is, science doesn't stand still; if you hitch your theology to this particular scientific wagon it becomes an embedded widow. It's a problem right back into the sixth century.
