Sonos was created so long ago, and I do think they have more of a central ability. Apple has chosen to try to solve a harder problem because of the way they have architected this product. If they were more fully dedicated to the idea that we want to provide a premium audio experience with more than one speaker, they would choose to do something different architecturally.
