The power unit manufacturer has their own engineers embedded within each of the teams, and they make changes based upon the set up that the teams actually have as well. Soo, they are there as a sort of safety protacle to stop the team running the engine or the power unit too hard under certain conditions. I obversly, you still end up with those situations, as we saw over the course of this week end in fact. But it's there to try to add that sort of fire war for the team, so that they can't just run the engine at full tilt all the time and then lay the blame at the power unit manufacturers corner when things do go wrong,. ok?
