The Purported Purpose of the Federal Reserve
The Federal Reserve Board controls the money supply, which is protected by legal tender laws. If you and I tried to print that money, we would be counterfeiters according to Murray Rothbard. The Fed has enormous power because it can set the short term interest rate. It's eroding our individual rights through that means.
