Epicureanism and the Seeraniacs

Epicureans and seeraniacs shared a commitment to hedonism, so they were bitter rivals. The goal of Epicurus' philosophy is to show us how we can avoid disturbance even in the face of an excruciating illness. In this, Epicureanism makes a contrast with the seeraniac teaching of Aristopus the Younger.
