The Oil Industry Is a Problem

The oil industry presents an enormous road block. The legacy profits of that industry allow them to have outsized influence in the political system. If we can't get health care in this country, there's no way we're ging to ge to nationalize the oil industry. But i guess the question is, if so many people in th united states care about climate change and they're aware of the problem, why is it so easy for it to get swept out when gas prices are high? It's not theoretical any more.
