"I don't want to know what a real pappadum tastes like," she says. "My dad would convince that he would go on to Dragon's Den with these, basically, you know this white stuff." Her father invented the 'mazey maltisa' by burning sadza in a searing hot pan. The result was something we've grown up knowing as soft is suddenly crispy.
