The Design of the State Shapes the Culture and Shapes Society
The design of the state has fundamentally changed society and shaped culture itself, just by the way it was conceived, or not conceived. You will find that many minimal rights are conceded and are almost invariably followed by a provision which takes away a right almost completely. And again, when one looks at the constituent assembly or debates,. you have somnat laheri pointing exactly this out. So i think from the point of view of a citizen. It is a peculiar sense of the self in relation to others that social anequality and the state have produced that gives indian politics, i texture.
