Early Erlito - A History of the City
Early erlito had elite objects like high quality white pottery, ivory and turquoise items and even a few bronze tools. It seems to have come into being quickly the result of substantial migration of craftspeople and farmers to that site from the surrounding ilo river basin. In the third phase, the palatial area was rounded by its own pounded earth walls, two meters more than six feet thick. Inside that enclosure, at least seven earthen platforms were constructed.
