The Relationship Between Jeans and Youth Culture Rebellion and Rock and Roll

In the 50s something called the denim council formed and that was really like a consortium of of denim manufacturers and producers. They were trying to fight that bad reputation but then they were also trying to sell jeans to young people so they didn't want to you know ally with the parents. A lot of the on-screen kind of rebel heroes were wearing jeans  in the big movies like like the wild one or in all these B movies specifically directed at youth audiences.
