Lenny's Last Strike

"My last strike probably rendered Cullen unconscious before his knees hit the ice," he writes. "I ran over Larson's spectacles on my return to where people were still upright and limbs were still being moved." Lenny skated up behind me and laid a gentle hand on my shoulder to guide me. We drifted in a broken mast to the far edge of the ice. The snow was so heavy I had to keep my eyes on our backs to navigate, but that snow was comforting too.
