The Germans Dier

The Battle of the Bulge was fought over two years in 19 18. The Allies eventually grind down for lack of ammunition and material. There are reports of soldiers literally starving to death. After they push through, they find more food and better supplies than they've seen in two years. And so imagine eventually being halted, in large part because you're delirious with hunger and under supplied.
