Introduction

David Barr, Greg McBrayer and Alex Brieu are happy to have David Lowenthal on the Thinkery tonight. Dr. Lowenthal is a retired professor of political philosophy who taught for 34 years at Boston College but also at Harvard, Wheaton in North Carolina State. After retirement he briefly held the Delzahn Chair Assumption College. He is the author of slave state rereading Orwell's 1984, which we're going to talk about tonight.
