Is Italy a Part of Your Background?
I grew up in this sort of beautiful idyllic suburban area of central New Jersey near that Jersey coast. Was Italy a part of your background? Oh, yeah, I mean my great grandmother that I knew very well, she died when I was about 12 or 13. She came from Sicily, only spoke Italian, Sicilian, and saw her regular. So I was very close with her and my mother's parents, as well as my father's side of the family. Though they became more Americanized a little earlier, I would say, but that's out of the family did. And I went to Italy when I was in college, I did the backpacking tour for a month
