The Characteristics of Post-Industrial War

Conventional wars in the modern era are thought of as highly destructive, yet relatively short. Post-industrial or post-modern war is deemed to have different characteristics. Information operations are conducted before a global, critical and skeptical audience. Combat appears to have episodic intensity but major powers enjoy technological superiority.
