Is This the Beginning of the Snuff Rumors?

Porn had only existed for a few years at the time that rumors of snuff started appearing. In 1971, a book about the Manson family is published where the author talks about rumors. This turned out as far as I can tell to be true. People have searched the grounds of spawn ranch looking for these fabled canisters but they've never found anything.
