The word for I is Ise in the West, and as you move further east it becomes Ili. A little bit further east they might have the L and further east from that they'd have the H. It's a systematic set of changes which means if you are used to hearing people from a neighboring variety, you might be used to understanding what the systematic changes are. As you move further along, it might get harder for you to understand what's happening in someone else's variety.
