Jefferson's Summary View of the Virginia Convention
In 1774, Jefferson had written his summary view as a resolution to be passed by the Virginia Convention. It was republished in a lot of different locations, including London itself. So Jefferson's 1774 summary view kind of introduced his ideas to not only the American people, but also the people on the other side of the Atlantic as well. And it wasn't a foregone conclusion that they would make it.
