What Is Matter and Why Does It Matter?
matter is a universal connectivity standard created by a consortium of hundreds of companies as part of the connectivity standards alliance or CSA. At its essence, matters is set of protocols that guarantees your smart home devices will be able to communicate with each other. Google is very active in this consortium, which also includes companies such as Amazon, Apple, SmartThings, and many device manufacturers.
