In an ideal world, bosses would refrain from sleeping with their subordinates so as not to cause jealousy and tension in the office. But we're not in an ideal world. From what we know so far, and that may not be everything, the women who got involved with Letterman were not pressured. Their paycheck was being paid every fortnight or every month because it was David's show. Like it's very hard to strip all of that back and know what these dynamics would be like without that power at play.
