In the early 2010s and late 2000s, there were a series of attacks against facilities that could have nuclear weapons in them. So Pakistan responded by creating its security division which has 10,000 dedicated personnel to protecting nuclear sites. The evidence suggests they spend a lot of effort surveilling these people in their personal life," writes Peter Bergen.
