I think it's underappreciated how these meta-ethical positions, whatever, objective consequentialism or some other kind of consequentialism, maybe subjective with inspected value. Even at the end deontology and virtue ethics, they may involve some very questionable metaphysics about how the counterfactuals pan out. If we now probabilify them in terms of expected value, then the foundations of probability and expected utility theory are very relevant.
