The Importance of Enlightenment Philosophy
There is such a wealth of philosophy that is basically ignored by Western thinkers in general but also by the left. And I think because the left has been so opposed to the retrograde and divisive elements of formal religion we've issued spirituality to our detriment. The idea that you are not limited to your own little self is brilliant and very important to a sense of belonging. It's crucial the sense of something bigger than you and with people through it is what sustains us all. We need the songs, we need the dances, we need an urgent need for awe at our own power which can serve the idea of Jesus as conveys by an authority - even if they're God-ridden.
