The Name Son of God
The title son of God has multiple connotations. It is used through the Old Testament at times just for the king or for the Messiah. Some scholars argue this is just a synonym, it's just another way of saying Jesus is the Messiah. But most scholars argue, well, but Peter already said that. That doesn't really make sense. We think that in some way you share the father's essence in your person.
