The Yerish Quarter of Paris

During World War II, thousands of Jewish families were deported after a surprise raid known as La Rude Rosier. Every year in July, residents gather in L'Oumerre to remember that painful time. After the war, many Jewish people from Eastern Europe and the Middle East settled in France. Now only a handful of kosher shops are made in the pretzel. The Yerish community is a community of people who are living in the Yerish area.
