The Hair of the Rabid Dog
Gin, grapefruit juice and elderflower liqueur are used to make a rabies cocktail. The cardinal symptom of rabies is foaming at the mouth so it's topped with egg white foam. When I started researching, my idea for this story was to kind of start with a bite like we did with tuberculosis. But tebs was really endearing, and rabies is not. It's a terrifying thing.
