You can't avoid tyranny without risking anarchy. The crisis that we just went through with this pandemic is a pretty stark example of this. Wide open prairies and personal responsibility alone were no shield. Treating people like adults hadn't stopped them becoming patients. Anarchy like tyranny had its costs. You know unfortunately this will almost certainly not be the last pandemic we face.
