The Effects of Exercise on Cardiovascular Responses

On average yeah the improvement of VU2 max was quite similar between the groups but again based on first principles or at least classic central and peripheral responses it would suggest that maybe some of the peripheral extraction was enhanced to a greater extent in the female participants compared to the males. The difference between sexes is not as great as what's been suggested in some of our recent studies but yes there is some evidence to suggest that the cardiovascular response may be blunted with more moderate continuous exercise.
