The myth of byden as a centrist a missis that he usedo, he was never a centrist in the sense of being in the middle of the spectrum between the two parties. In some ways, i think it's worse, partly because of political reasons, with a failing presidency, part as of stuff related to his age. He just sincerely believes at this point that the base of the democratic party is the moral conscience of of politics. And so he thinks siding with them is courageous and right, even if it's bad politics.
