The Optimistic Epistemology
This is an optimistic epistemology where the optimism that's talked about is not entirely a virtue, but it brings with it certain liabilities. The doctrine of manifest truth is this idea that you can see the truth in some way - whether by empirical means or via your rational reasoning capacity. Once you've got the evidence on your side, it's incontrovertible. There's no need for debate and there's no need to worry about how the evidence was collected. On this view, on this view, you just need to apply your reason.
