CBT Announces Exemption Limit of 7L Tax for International Credit and Debit Card Spends Towards LRS Remittances

The CBT has come up with a notification on 19th of May, providing that the international credit and debit card spends towards LRS remittances will be exempt from TCS. But what has happened is that two packages have been kept out of the 7L exemption limit. There is another debt discrepancy which is that if you book with an Indian travel agent, you pay 20% TCS but not if you were to book with a foreign agent. Say Expedia.
