Russia was a major supplier of natural gas to europe, and with those exports cut off, the global market for natural gas has just become a lot tighter. One thing that's also making this problem worse is extreme weather field by climate change. Wind, solar and existing hydro power are expected to make up about a quarter of us electricity by the end of next year.
