The Importance of More Editors in the Guardian
I suppose you could look at it two ways I do the Americans have too many people or are you trying to do something completely impossible and having to if not cut corners. Definitely it would be great to have a few more editors but equally in context of British journalism especially having one editor having two editors for two stories a week is a lot. We try not to compromise too much as I think anyone who's been edited by us hopefully feels that they've done their job well. Do you call on editors elsewhere in the Guardian if you need a subject expert? For example, did you run that past sort of Middle East expert at the Guardian before you ran it?"
