The Journal of Pediatrics published a paper on guilt and regret experienced by parents of children born extremely preterm. The study asked 248 parents what they would have done differently if they could go back in time to change anything about their child's care. Of the 230 children, 55% met criteria for no neurodevelopmental impairment. 63% of mothers and 82% of fathers respectively self identified as white 25% of Mothers and 10% of fathers self identified as black 82% of mothers reported having at least high school diploma.
