The Importance of Tool Use
The first question that the model needs to know is which tool to use. That's like human being. What do I need a tool? Maybe I can just answer your question directly, right? So that's the triggering and tool selection piece. The second step is once I select a tool or a few tools, how do I use that? And then you use that tool and then you get the response. Is the future of AI assembling different architectures? so transformers for language, CNN's for vision, maybe something else for coordination.
