Putting Your Trust in the Work of God
Those who infer from this passage that faith is the gift of god are mistaken. It's not, it's saying, i can't work. My work is insufficient. So i'm putting my trust in the work of another person that in itself is not a work. That's certainly not meritorious work that earns your way to heaven.
