Democracy Is Better Than All the Other Systems
Popper: The whole idea that for having leaders of any kind is, well, it's the best system that we've got because we can't think of anything better. So why not have this system where, well, at least you can remove them without violence once they've done the wrong thing? And when someone has caused them to go wrong, or a policy has caused things to go wrong to restrict progress in some way, to cause violent conflict. Well, let's get rid of that politician and or policy. That's what democracy is. Democracy is bad, but it's better than all of those others that have been tried from time to time, like those ones.
