The History of the Stock Market

Almost exactly half of the trading was done in odd locks of AT&T common stock. Institutions and they were candidly, mostly pretty sleepy regional bank trust departments that were doing personal trust business. You had a proof list that was passed down by the investment committee once every month to save which stocks you could operate in. It was very low-key, quiet, easy going line of work.
