Ike: Tape is an imperfect medium, but it's fine for recording music. There are advantages to running at high speed, but you're losing a lot of energy in the bottom octaves of the music. I don't see the point in just indulging the novelty of saying that you recordit on tape and then not having a tape master. Ike: There may be practical reasons why the analogue methods work better because they were recorded on analogue tape. But it's going too far to say that sessions recordings made with digital equipment will always sound better.
