What I Remember About You Was That You Were Jewish
Akeim: One of the things that i most remember a about knowing you was that you were jewish. And there's this kind of notion to a lot of the things about you that do resonate very deeply with a certain kind of n post immigrant sort of experience, he says. Akeim: I think culturally, we are, probably to our own detriment, incredibly self aware. There is an aspect of hyper vigilance that is a survival mechanism in the jewish community and so on. He also talks about how his father made him want to be a stand up comic when he was younger.
