How Do You Get Through Acknowledgement?
The problem with domestic violence, especially when a man puts his hands on a woman or incest, which is so is that people want the perpetrator to take accountability for that before they start to see the contextual factors that led up to that. One of the keys to your approach in any good family therapy is getting the buy-in from all members of the system. So as you just said, would you beautifully said in accessible language, no matter what the developmental level or socioeconomic status of the client is framing it in a cycle? But both people have to buy into that.
